Thomson Sesquicentennial Christmas Party

Posted by

Thomson, IL, is wrapping up its Year to Remember on Saturday, December 12, 2015, with a bang-up ceremony at Lions’ Park.  The Thomson American Legion will provide an Honor Guard and salute, as the commemorative time capsule is buried.  The capstone has been created and generously donated by Fred Kin of Kin Stoneworks, located in Clinton, IA.  The ceremony commences at 1:30 p.m.

Following the burial of the time capsule, a community party will be hosted at the Thomson Fire Station.  This includes visits by Santa and wagon rides provided by Wilkenson Farms.  Festivities run from 2:00 until 4:00.

All are welcome at the Christmas Party.  Stay for caroling at 4:00.  Refreshments will be provided.

Join Thomson in capping off its extraordinary Sesquicentennial Year!  Thanks to all of those who made this year special.
