This is an open invitation to join us at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, 401 N. Cherry Street, Morrison, IL, Sunday December 6, 2015.
Bishop Chris Epting is visiting St. Anne’s and will preside at our 9:00 a.m. service. Following the Service, at 10:00 a.m. celebratory brunch will be served, to honor Bishop Epting in his pending retirement and to promote discussion. The community is invited–especially those people who don’t like church, but might like breakfast.
Bishop C. Christopher Epting joined the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago, IL, as Assisting Bishop in January 2012. He was elected Bishop of the Diocese of Iowa in 1988 and appointed as the Presiding Bishop’s Deputy for Ecumenical and Interfaith Relations in 2001. Retiring after nine years as Ecumenical Officer for The Episcopal Church, Bishop Epting served for two years as the interim Dean of Trinity Cathedral in Davenport, IA.
