Eugene C. Muur, age 76, of Morrison, IL, died Friday, November 20, 2015, at Resthave Nursing Home in Morrison.
Eugene was born October 27, 1939, in Fulton, IL, the son of William and Edna (Bielema) Muur. He married Ruth Diephuis on January 9, 1959, in Fulton. He owned and operated the Morrison Tire Center until his son, Randy, bought the business. Eugene was a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison. The most important part of his life was enjoying time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth, of Morrison; three sons, Randy (Kris) Muur, Ron (Tracy) Muur, and Todd (Pam) Muur all of Morrison; one brother, Russell (Marilyn) Muur of Sanborn, IA; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Phyllis Smith.
Memorial services were held at Resthave Nursing Home.
