Lucile Anspach Cornelius, 100, formerly of Lyndon, and Erie, IL, died Thursday, October 29, 2015, at Resthave Nursing Home, Morrison, IL.
Lucile was born November 6, 1914, in Amboy, IL, the daughter of Charles and Fannie Bender. She was married to Frank Anspach in 1934, and he preceded her in death in 1954. She later married John Cornelius, and he also preceded her in death. Lucile loved her stuffed animals, especially Theodore, who remains at her side. She enjoyed cooking and went through three microwaves. She also enjoyed sewing and crocheting, and she loved her family.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by a sister, brother, son and grandson.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Speer, Port Byron, IL; son, Roger Anspach, Morrison; ten grandchildren; many great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Private graveside services will be held at the Lyndon Cemetery, Lyndon, IL.
