October 12 Sheriff’s Office Report

These arrests are merely a charge, and he/she is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

10-11-15 at 9:03 p.m.  Richard M. Fonder, age 28 of Sterling, IL, was stopped in Tampico, IL, for an inoperative taillight.  He was arrested for Failure to Properly Secure Child Under 8 Years of Age and then given a written warning for the inoperative taillight.

10-11-15 at 1:04 a.m.  Brent D. Hamblen, age 24 of Sterling, IL, was stopped for speeding west of Rock Fall, IL, on U. S. Route 30.  He was ultimately arrested for Speeding 100 MPH in a 55 MPH zone and DUI.  Following his arrest, Hamblen was processed at the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office.

10-10-15 at 11:42 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance in rural Sterling, IL.  Upon further investigation, Ryan J. Clardia, age 27 of Rock Falls, IL, was arrested for an outstanding Whiteside County Warrant for Failure to Pay/Appear with the original charge being Driving While License Suspended.  Ryan was transported to the Whiteside County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.

10-10-15 at 11:04 p.m.  Justin C. Rodriguez, age 26 of Sterling, IL, was stopped for improper lane usage and arrested for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.  He was given a written warning for the improper lane usage.

10-10-15 at 10:37 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Freeport Road in rural Sterling, IL.  Upon further investigation, Alisha R. Cook, age 42 of New Glarus, WI, was issued a citation for Violation of Litter Control Act and was released from the scene, with a Notice to Appear and a future court appearance.  Also, she was issued a written warning for speeding as well as for improper lane usage.

10-10-15 at1:57 a.m.  Oscar Sosa, age 27 of Sterling, IL, was arrested in Rock Falls, IL, for DUI, Driving While License Revoked, Speeding 42/30 MPH, Resisting a Peace Officer with Injury, and Illegal Transportation of Alcohol.  He was remanded to the Whiteside County Jail on the felony charges and held, pending an initial court appearance.

10-10-15 at 12:56 a.m.  Alexander J. Stutzke, age 29 of Rock Falls, IL, was arrested following a traffic stop in Rock Falls for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and released on bond.  He was also issued a written warning for Unlawful Cell Phone Use, Defective Exhaust, and Improper Display of Registration.

 10-10-15 at 12:34 a.m.  Austin R. Krug, age 20 of Rock Falls, IL, was arrested following a traffic stop in Rock Falls for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and released on bond.  He was also issued a written warning for No Front Registration Plate, Failure to Notify SOS of an address change, and No Driver’s License on Person.

10-07-15 at 1:20 p.m.  At Heaton and Main Streets in Morrison, IL, Blake A. Blean, age 21 of Morrison was arrested for Possession of Cannabis 2.5 to 10 Grams.  He was processed at the Sheriff’s Office and released on a Notice to Appear.  Assisting on scene was Rick’s Towing from Morrison. 

10-06-15 at 2:34 a.m.  At Frog Pond Road near the Holly Road intersection, Courtney T. Felt, age 22 of Prophetstown, IL, arrested for Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  She was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, where she was processed and released on a Notice to Appear.  Assisting on scene was Midwest Towing from Fulton, IL.

10-02-15 at 12:19 a.m.  At Moline Road near the Fargo Road intersection, Amanda A. Black, age 34 of Hillsdale, IL, was arrested for Speeding 67/55 MPH and two counts DUI.  She was processed and released on a Notice to Appear.  Assisting on scene was Midwest Towing of Fulton, IL.

10-02-15 at 1:04 a.m.  Justin Lee Thomsen, age 21 of Rock Falls, IL, was stopped on IL Route 40 south of Rock Falls for No Rear Registration Light and arrested for that offense and Driving While License Suspended.  He was bonded and released, pending a future court date.

10-01-15 at 8:56 p.m.  Deannie J. Smith, age 32 of Rock Falls, IL, was stopped in Rock Falls for speeding.  He was arrested for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and released on bond.  He was also issued a written warning for speeding.
