On Monday, August 24, 2015, the City of Morrison Council convened at 7:00 p.m. in the Whiteside County Board Room, 400 N. Cherry Street, Morrison, IL. The meeting adjourned at 7:36.
In attendance were Mayor Everett Pannier; City Administrator Barry Dykhuizen; Treasurer Evan Haag; Aldermen Curt Bender, Michael Blean, Dale Eizenga, Dave Helms, Vernon Tervelt, Mick Welding, and Harvey Zuidema; Director of Public Works Gary Tresenriter; Chief of Police Brian Melton; City Attorney Tim Zollinger. The Council vacancy of Scott Connelly has not been filled.
Reports of City Officers and Department Heads—CA Dykhuizen introduced WIPFi CPA’s and Consultants, who discussed the Annual Financial Report. When asked if there were any red flags, Mayor Pannier stated on Tuesday, August 25, “None whatsoever,” and the report “was sort of complimentary. We had some improvements on the bottom line.”
The Consent Agenda was approved without discussion.

Items for Consideration and Possible Action–Resolution #15-XX, Approval of Bid, Lot #1 Sunset Addition was approved. The bid on the residence was awarded to Chris Murrison of Morrison for $87,501.00. A $1000 down payment has been made; the balance is due no more than 60 days from Monday, August 24.
Other Items for Consideration and Discussion and Information–Attorney Zollinger will prepare an Ordinance to reflect the discussion on Outdoor Wood Burners.
