The premier event for the City of Morrison, IL, is Paint the Town. Street and window painting–plus accompanying entertainment and food components–attract over 6000 annually. In 2014, more than 1800 squares were painted. This tribute to visual artistry has entertained visitors and residents for two decades plus one year.
On Saturday, September 19, 2015, Paint the Town will begin at noon on W. Main Street, Morrison, with distribution of paint, art supplies, giveaways, and the event t-shirt. Preregistration has begun: in person at City Hall, 200 W. Main Street, Morrison; by mail; online.
Early bird registrations are $13 using the first two methods and $14.71 online.
If painters or families want adjacent squares, it is advisable to register everyone together. If a certain street location is desired, register early, too.
