The River Cities Aquatic Swim Team hosted the Stars of Tomorrow Swim Meet at the Riverview Park Swimming Pool in Clinton, IA, on Friday, July 10, through Sunday, July 12, 2015. This was a fun meet for the 14 Seahorses who attended. This is the only meet all year where the kids get to compete in an outdoor 50 meter pool. Seahorses came away with 15 Top-8 finishes and 68 Lifetime Best swims. The following Seahorses swam Regional Qualifying Times: Skylar Drolema in the 100 Freestyle and 50 Backstroke; Landri Harmon in the 200 Freestyle; Emily Henson in the 50 Freestyle; Kate Henson in the 100 Backstroke.
Our 11-12 Girls Relay Teams broke two Seahorse Relay records, that were set at the same meet 17 years ago! Schyon Drolema , Kate Henson, Emily Henson, and Laney Edgeton, left-to-right, swam a 2:51.73 in the 200 Medley Relay. This bettered the record set back in 1998 by Phelan Oudekerk, Rachel Fedyk, Megan Tenboer, and Anna Harvey by four seconds. Our girls also swam a 2:27.69 in the 200 Freestyle Relay, which broke the 1998 team’s record by ten seconds.

10 and Under Girls:
BayLeigh Brewer: 50 Breast – 50.94 (BB Time) – 7th Place, 100 Breast – 1:50.59 (BB Time) – 7th Place.
Landri Harmon – 200 Free – 2:57.40 (A Time) – 7th Place, 50 Free – 36.11 (A Time) – 8th Place.
11 – 12 Girls:
Kate Henson – 50 Breast – 42.68 (BB Time) – 4th Place, 100 Breast – 1:32.42 (A Time) – 5th Place.

Emery Brewer, Frank Drennen, Gracen Harmon, Lindsey Houldson, Zane Romero, and Mackenzie Ryder also participated in the meet.
