One of the highlights of July is the Whiteside County annual Barn Tour. This year’s event takes place over the weekend of Saturday, July 11, and Sunday, July 12, 2015. Twelve barns on ten farms will be featured, all in the Morrison, IL, area. Saturday hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday hours are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Everyone begins the tour at the historic “Round Barn” at the Whiteside County Fairgrounds, 201 W. Winfield Street. Fill the car, because the price is $20 per vehicle. Your admission includes a tour book and map of the compact, 26-mile circuit.
Allow time to visit White Oaks Therapeutic Equestrian Center–WHOA–while on the grounds. This organization offers equine assisted activities to individuals with special needs.
Along the way, there will be

- lunch at the Cattleman’s Association cookout
- welcoming families who share a love of agriculture and livestock.
