TouchTruck2Editor’s note:  On Thursday, June 18, Sheriff Kelly Wilhelmi informed the Editor that the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office now will send their HMMWV to the Touch-a-Truck event.  Deputy John Booker is available to attend.

The parking lot of Ebenezer Reformed Church, 309 E. Park Street, Morrison, IL, will be filled with–literally–tons of equipment that craves close inspection and sitting!  There will be hands-on learning experiences about construction, farming, public works industries, and more.  Come touch and interact with vehicles of all kinds on Saturday, June 20, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public, with music, food, and fun.  All proceeds go to the Morrison Friends Food Pantry and classroom supplies for Morrison Community Unit School District #6.

Have lunch for $1.50:  barbeque sandwich or hot dog; chips; cookie; drink.
