UNITE Block Party is a celebration of the completion of another successful UNITE Work Camp. This year, 53 local youth and 19 adults will spend the week of Tuesday, June 9, through Friday, June 12, helping in their communities Clinton, IA, and Fulton and Morrison, IL. During the last three days, they will paint nine homes, for those who are unable to physically or financially do it themselves.
UNITE Work Camp began in 2014 as a vision of four, local youth group leaders who shared the vision to UNITE our communities, churches, and youth groups–to LOVE and SERVE in ways that transform lives socially, economically, and spiritually. They believe that by investing in, and training, youth to be a part of the solution to problems in their communities, the benefits of this investment will be seen for generations to come.
In 2014 at the first United Work Camp, we were able to paint six homes for people who otherwise would not have been able to do it.
UNITE Work Camp is an annual event. Are you are interested in having your home painted next year? Call Steve at 712-899-4543.
