A.L.I.C.E. Trainings for Businesses at Odell

Posted by

Morrison Chief of Police Brian Melton will lead “A.L.I.C.E.” training sessions for local businesses in June 2015 at Odell Public Library, 307 S. Madison Street, Morrison, IL.  The purpose of this training is to prepare individuals to handle the threat of an Active Shooter.  The acronym A.L.I.C.E. stands for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate.  While it is hoped that no one will ever need to use this training, the goal is to greatly increase the odds of survival should anyone face this form of disaster.

Two options of the training session will be offered in the Odell Public Library meeting room.  Choose one:

  • Tuesday, June 9, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
  • Friday, June 12, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Please call Odell Public Library at 815-772-7323 to reserve your seat.

Registrants will be asked to provide their name, business/organization name, a contact telephone number, and the total number of people attending.  You may also email reservations at odell.library@gmail.com.  This important free training is provided by Morrison Police Chief Brian Melton.
