05-13-15 at 1:11 p.m. Whiteside Deputies conducted a consensual stop at Sinnissippi Park. Upon further investigation, Christian Gonzalez, age 29 of Texas, and William A. Lendman, age 28 of Dixon, IL, were arrested for Possession of Cannabis. Gonzalez and Lendman were issued a Notice to Appear and were released with a future court date. Slim-N-Hank’s Towing assisted on scene.
05-18-15 at 8:30 a.m. Kenneth P. Green, age 30 of Sterling, IL, was arrested for a valid Carroll County Warrant for Deceptive Practices. Green was remanded to the Whiteside County Jail for bond in lieu of bond.
05-18-15 at 11:54 a.m. Whiteside Deputies conducted an investigative stop at Centennial Park. Upon further investigation, Kari A. Sanders, age 30 of Dixon, IL, was arrest for a valid Whiteside County Warrant (Obstructing a Court Order.) Sanders was remanded to the Whiteside County Jail for bond.
05-18-15 at 1:15 p.m. Whiteside County Deputies arrested David J. Stoudt, age 52 of Morrison, IL, for Possession of Cannabis Less than 2.5 Grams. Stoudt was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, processed, and released on a Notice to Appear and a future court appearance.
05-18-15 at 3:31 p.m. Whiteside Deputes conducted a Traffic stop at Howard Street at Emerson Road on Michael G. Schutt, age 52 of Sterling, IL, for failure to stop at a traffic control device. Upon further investigation Schutt was arrested for Possession of Cannabis. Schutt was issued a written warning for failure to stop at a traffic control device and was issued a Notice to Appear with a future court date.
05-19-15 at 8:45 a.m. Jeffrey S. Borwn, age 44 of Clinton, IA, was arrest for a Valid Whiteside County Warrant (Contempt of Court.) Brown was remanded to the Whiteside County Jail in lieu of bond.
05-19-15 at 11:43 a.m. Whiteside Deputies did an investigative stop at Route 40 at Route 30. Jose R. Sierra-Jimenez, age 20 of Sterling, IL, was arrested for Driving While License Suspended. He was issued a citation with a future court date.
05-19-15 at 1:25 p.m. Jeffrey S. Hayen, age 34 of Rock Falls, IL, turned himself in on a Valid Ogle County Warrant (Transportation of Alcohol Liquor.) Hayen posted bond and was released.
05-19-15 at 5:01 p.m. Whiteside Deputies did a traffic stop at 105 E. 23rd Street in Sterling, IL, for failure to use turn signal. Upon further investigation the passenger in the vehicle, Jeryd D. Ridle, age 20 of Sterling, was arrested for a Valid Lee County Warrant (Failure to Appear on Possession of Cannabis.) Ridle was also arrested for Possession of Cannabis and given a Notice to Appear and a future court date. He was remanded to the Whiteside County Jail in lieu of bond for his warrant.
05-23-15 at 1:03 p.m. Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the Rock Falls, IL, area. Upon further investigation, Daniel Tirado, age 45 of Sterling, IL, was arrested to No Valid Driver’s License. Daniel was released on scene with a Notice to Appear as well as a future court appearance. Rock Falls Police Department and William’s Towing assisted on scene.
05-23-15 at 3:14 p.m. Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the Rock Falls, IL, area. Upon further investigation, Donnie G. Davis, age 42 of Woosung, IL, was issued a citation for Failure to Wear Seatbelt as well as Operating an Uninsured Vehicle. Davis was released on scene with a Notice to Appear as well as a future court appearance.
05-26-15 at 6:25 a.m. The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Department responded to an apartment fire located at 1610 E. Rock Falls Road, rural Rock Falls, IL. Also responding to the incident were CGH EMS and Fire Departments from Rock Falls and Sterling, IL, along with the Rock Falls Police Department. Upon arrival at the scene, it was determined sometime during the night there was a fire in the kitchen area of the apartment. A 58-year-old deceased female was located in the apartment. There is an ongoing investigation by the State of Illinois Fire Marshal’s office and the Illinois State Police Crime Scene Division.
05-26-15 at 11:00 a.m. The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of 10th Avenue and 9th Street in Fulton, IL. The accident occurred when a northbound SUV, driven by James Stachour, 75, of Clinton, IA, failed to yield to the right of way at a stop intersection. The northbound SUV entered the intersection in front of an eastbound Fulton Police Department vehicle, who was responding to another accident with emergency lights and sirens. The Fulton Police Department vehicle, unable to avoid a collision, impacted with the northbound SUV in the intersection. Both drivers were transported to Mercy Hospital in Clinton with minor injuries and later released.
