Illinois State Representative Tony McCombie sponsored legislation in 2022, establishing August 1 as Illinois’ official “Sweet Corn Appreciation Day.” This is the fifth year McCombie has hosted the event at her District Office, 9317 B State Route 84, in Savanna, IL.
It will from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Enjoy sweet corn; bounce houses; face painting; balloon art; live music.
“Sweet corn is a celebration of community, connection, and the simple joy of sharing good good,” she stated.
