First Presbyterian Church, 100 E. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL, hosted their 6th annual Benefit for Morrison Fire Department, on Thursday, July 30, 2026, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Supporters received curb side service, as they drove-up on the west side of the building, on Genesee Street.
Four Firefighters were on hand to distribute 400 meals: brat, feather pasta salad, chips, and a delicious, Resthave Care & Rehabilitation cookie. Morrison Fire Department will receive 100% of the donations.

Pastor Selburg posted this information on the First Presbyterian Church Facebook page. “We raised $3000 today for the Morrison Fire Department.”
“Community businesses, organizations, and philanthropists donated: money; 1/4 of the brats; beer and charcoal to cook the brats; buns; brat sleeves; pasta; containers and lids for the pasta; lunch bags; cookies.
“Donations from folks stopping by the free meal to support the MFD: $1691.70. $7.70 came from some young boys with a lot of change, wanting to support the Fire Department.)
