Dear Editor:
I attended the play “Thoroughly Modern Millie” this weekend and was impressed with the talent of the students participating (two individuals were my favorites). [Editor’s note: Vander Bleek’s granddaughters are Isabel and Tessa.]
At the end of the play, a number of individuals were mentioned and deserved the praise given.
There was one group that was overlooked…the Stage Crew. I have attended many high school productions and have been bothered by the wait between scenes. Not this time! The changes were done rapidly and with great precision. I thank them for an enjoyable time at the theater.
Sally Vander Bleek
Editor’s note: Members of the Stage Crew were Emily Clark, Allysa Criss, Karah Doyle, Evan Ernst, Abby Houzenga, Gillian O’Neil, and Autumn VanBuren. Alex Ernst controlled the sound, and Ryan Tillman was in charge of lighting. Shown left-to-right are front row, Clark; back row, Criss, O’Neil, VanBuren, Evan Ernst, and Houzenga.
