CEO Trade Show May 6

CEO represents Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities, and is offered through the Whiteside Area Career Center in Sterling, IL, for area high school students. It teaches students how to start a business, how businesses work, financial planning, spreadsheets, and banking. As one of the class projects, each student has had to start his or her own business.

CEO will be hosting a Trade Show featuring each student’s individual business. There are 13 students in the class, and each will be setting up their own business booth. It will be held at the Northland Mall in Sterling, IL on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m. The students are very excited about their business adventures, and would be grateful for your support.  Stop by and visit the business booths listed below:

Drake Gaul from Polo High School – started a business called “Exquizedly Smoked – Smokehouse Restaurants”.

Regan Todhunter from Newman High School started a business called “REVO TECH” Graphic Design that designs logos and creative marketing materials.

Margaret Smith is currently a junior at Newman Central Catholic high school. She started her own business “Eden Bath and Beauty”, which, promises luscious and fragrant products, such as lotions, bath bombs, and body scrubs to keep you feeling beautiful. As well as customer satisfaction and timely service to keep you coming back!

Aaron Frank, a senior at Rock Falls High School, has an individual business based around a book he wrote. It is entitled “Don’t Sell Yourself Short: A High School Grad’s Advice on High School and Beyond.”

Christian Hicks is a senior at Dixon High School. His business is “Fresh Fellas”, the best in men’s accessories.

Brittani Sohn is a senior at Dixon High School. “Brittani’s Boutique” is the name of her individual business and she will be selling handmade jewelry organizers out of picture frames, high heels, crystal, and many other materials.

Ashley Stralow is a senior at Morrison High School. Her business is called “Express Yourself”. She makes scarves, jewelry, and more! 

Kyle Decker started a rental service. His rental service will be offering party and event supplies.

Isaiah Celestino is a senior at Sterling High School. This spring Isaiah will be starting “No Mow Worries Lawn Maintenance”. No Mow Worries will provide seasonal lawn care to the Sauk Valley Area.

Destiny Pontnack is a Junior from Eastland High School. She will be selling jewelry that imitates pieces in the royal collection.

Farrah Stubbe, a Senior at Eastland High School, turned her passion into a business when she created “Farrah Marie Lip Cosmetics and Novelty Items”. She carries everything from lipstick to lip stain, and knows that everyone deserves to look and feel glamorous.

Nick McGuire is a senior at Sterling High School. He started “ConGraduation”, a promotional product company.
