The Thomson Sesquicentennial Committee of the Thomson Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the Master and Miss Sesquicentennial Contest, in conjunction with the 150th birthday of Thomson, IL. This contest will be similar to the Miss and Master Melon Contest at former Melon Days celebrations.
Candidates must
- be between five and 12 years of age
- live in York Township
- be available on Saturday, June 20, and Friday, July 24, through Sunday, July 26, 2015.
Each candidate will be required to sell wrist bands, and each sold wristband will count as one vote.
Area businesses are asked to sponsor candidates for a fee of $10. Candidates and sponsors are responsible for the wristbands.
