Myrna “Sue” J. Wade, age 74, died Thursday March 19, 2015 at her home in Morrison, IL.
Myrna Jeanette Wade was born on June 10, 1940, in Sterling, CO, the daughter of Russell and Beulah (Pevler) Bruhn. She was employed with G.E. in Morrison for many years, retiring in 2000. Myrna loved riding motorcycles and was a member of the Mississippi Valley BMW Riders. She enjoyed the outdoors, planting her flowers, and feeding the birds. Myrna was a regular at Kelly’s, Village Inn, and Red Lobster.
Survivors include one daughter, Sheila (Mark) Fisher of Rock Falls, IL; one son, William “Bill” Rector of Minnesota; two sisters, Ruby Bruhn of Blakesburg, IA, and Ellen (Larry) Voss of Morrison; two grandchildren, Travis (Sarah) Fisher and Tiffani (Kamryn Dickinson) Fisher; a very special friend, Robert Near of Como, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Patty Tadlock.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 23, 2015, at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, IL.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at the funeral home, with Pastor Dalmus Meeks of Harvest Time Bible Church officiating.
Burial will follow at Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison, IL.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to Animal Birth Control of Clinton, IA, and Shriners Children’s Hospitals.
