Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White, center, joined Evergreen Park, IL, Mayor Jim Sexton, District #124 Superintendent of Schools Robert Machak, and others in the St. Baldrick’s “Brave the Shave” Chicago, IL, Area Schools Challenge.
To support childhood cancer research, White had his head shaved at Southwest Elementary School.
The school is one of nearly 100 local schools that participated in the event, which brings students, faculty, and communitues together to raise funds for the largest non-governmental fund raiser of childhood cancer grants worldwide.
The Jesse White Tumbling Team also performed for the students.
