On Thursday, January 29, 2015, Morrison Chamber of Commerce presented its Customer Service Award to Ellen Callihan, employee of HVP Vending, LLC, 409 E. Main Street, Morrison, IL. The vending business began in 1948 as Vend-Omack Sales, Inc., offering “a complete full line of beverages, snacks, fresh and frozen food.” Callihan has been employed for eight years.
Her nomination was for “being so helpful, kind, and compassionate; going above and beyond for a customer during a stressful [move]; accommodating the needs of each and every customer; not because nice is easy, but because nice matters.”
