The first show of the Black Box Theatre’s ninth season opens on Valentines Day and makes a perfect way to celebrate the holiday of love.  Ken Ludwigs’ “Dear Jack, Dear Louise” is a Valentine to his parents.  It tells their love story through their correspondence during World War II.  The Black Box Theatre is located at 1623 5th Avenue, Moline, IL.

The play stars Zach Zelnio and Kassidy Holdridge, with Elizabeth Melville Directing, Jennifer Kingrey creating the Lighting design, Alexander Richardson designing Sound, and Lora Adams as the Set and Costume Designer.

Adams, who is also the Artistic Director/Co-Founder of the Black Box Theatre said, “I think it’s appropriate to open the show on Valentines Day, as it is a heartfelt, funny, and sometimes sad look back at World War II.  We typically think of this time as big, but it is these small, earnest moments that truly define the sacrifice these families made.”

The show runs Friday, February 14, through Saturday, March 1, 2025, with tickets available at http://theblackboxtheatre.com.  Tickets are $18.
