The Morison Board of Education convened on Monday, December 16, 2024, without member Jim Prombo in attendance. The following actions summarize the meeting details.
● The Consent Agenda was approved with the inclusion of monthly bills payable totaling $383,434.45. Staff changes include the resignation of Principal David Mills, and the hiring of the following: Night Custodian, Mathew Lucas; Boys Head Track Coach, Kevin Miller; Head Baseball Coach; Danny Willis; Head Wrestling Coach, Jesse Kennedy; Assistant WrestlingCoach, Adrian Langley; Volunteer Wrestling Coach, Ryan Kennedy; 7th Grade Girls Basketball Coach, Tori Eads; 8th Grade Girls Basketball Coach, Shelby Veltrop.
● Ag Instructor Toni Prombo presented the details of a proposed student trip to Europe in 2026. The Board’s inquiries resulted in a unanimous vote, allowing the project planning to move forward.
● A rough draft of a proposed Code of Conduct for fan conduct at school sports events
was reviewed. Permission was granted to proceed, with the intent to offer a final version at a future Board session.
● The board also reviewed the guidelines revision for “future fundraising events,” extending permission to proceed to a final proposal.
● The presentation of a “Restraint, Timeout Plan” Revision received serious discussion,
recognizing the fact that such a report is required to be submitted annually, with progress reports and updates.
● A unanimous vote supported the creation of a “Cardiac Emergency Response Plan” that will become effective on January 1, 2025.
● A motion to approve a MHS Track Uniform Purchase was approved, knowing that the
District would be billed 70% of the costs of the uniforms.
