Morrison Rotary Organization honored two High School students for the month of December 2024: MaKenzie Neas, left, and Bella Duncan.
MaKenzie Neas is the daughter of Eric and Stephanie Neas. Her parents own Urban Eats in Morrison, IL, so she is excited to work there.While in school MaKenzie has participated in Basketball and Softball, and she is also a member of Student Council. She loves to serve her community, so she delivered fruit boxes to Odell Public Library and wrapped gifts for kids in need. She volunteers at God’s Will Caring Center in Morrison and the Clinton[, IL,] Humane Society. Her passion is theater. She has starred in “Charlotte’s Web” in Morrison and has appeared on stage at Sauk Theater. When she is not in plays she loves to hang with friends. She does plan to major in Theater at a college, after she completes her general-education courses at Sauk Valley College.
Bella Duncan is the daughter of Dave and Taylor Duncan. She loves sports, especially playing Volleyball and Softball. She has also assisted with programming the new scoreboard and working with the Athletic Director. She is a member of Emmanuel Church, and she enjoys helping the Kiwanis Club unload boxes. Bella has also enjoyed coaching local Volleyball and Softball teams. Her hobbies include weight-lifting, coaching, and shopping; she has been in 28 states. She has signed a Letter of Intent to play Division One Softball at Western Michigan University. Bella will major in Occupational Therapy and minor in Athletic Training.
