Morrison, IL, Police Chief Brian Melton reports the following Arrests made and Citations issued since Friday, December 26, 2014.
Arrests:
On Thursday, January 1, 2015, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Morrison Police conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle driven by Everett D. Hughes, age 67 of Morrison, IL, on Park Court, due to an equipment violation. As a result of the investigation during the traffic stop, Hughes was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Hughes was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, processed, and released on a Notice to Appear for January 29, 2015.
On Friday, January 9, 2015, at approximately 9:15 p.m., Morrison Police arrested John J. Gillen, age 28 of Morrison, IL, pursuant to an Arrest Warrant issued by Whiteside County, charging Gillen with Possession of Cannabis – Failure to Appear. During the arrest, Morrison discovered that Gillen was in possession of drug paraphernalia. Gillen was also charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Ordinance violation). Gillen was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
