Fillies’ Come Back Falls Short

basketballThe Morrison, IL,  Fillies traveled to Ori, IL, on Thursday, January 15, 2015, and came away one point short, after fighting back from a double digit deficit.

An explosive opening quarter saw Orion’s DeBaille score 11 of her game-high 19 points.  The Chargers took a 23-17 advantage.  The Fillies could only generate seven second quarter points and went into halftime down by 13.  The score was 37-24.

Adjustments made at the half allowed the Fillies to have a more prominent inside game.  Ashley Greul scored 12 of her 14 total points.  Adding to Lakin Goodman’s 11 and Emma Melton’s six made a cut into the Charger lead, but the effort fell short.  The Fillies ended the night in a 55-54 loss.
