One significant component of local American Red Cross Blood Drives is volunteers who sponsor the light meal for donors. On Thursday, January 15, 2015, First Presbyterian Church, 100 E. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL, offered their services. Shown left-to-right in the kitchen of Morrison United Methodist Church, 200 W. Lincolnway, were Jan Kelly, Judy Manchester, Al Manchester, and Jane James.
Kelly handled appointments for the next ARC Blood Drive, Thursday, March 19. She verified if donors had achieved a new gallon level and awarded the appropriate number pin.
“Also helping but working different times were Lynn Knox, Joyce Mathew, and Lester Mathew. Many members contributed cookies and other goodies which are given to donors after their part of donating blood,” added Lester Mathew.
