Arlene R. Keller, 99, of Resthave Care & Rehabilitation, in Morrison, IL, died Thursday, November 28, 2024, at Resthave.
Arlene was born October 24, 1925, in Fulton, IL, to Evert and Anna (Fisher) Geerts. She was educated in the Fulton grade schools and was a graduate of Fulton High School. On September 8, 1944, she married Victor H. Keller in Morrison. He passed away on May 6, 2013. Arlene spent her days raising her children and making a home for the family. She was a member of Spring Valley Reformed Church in Fulton. Arlene mastered the craft of knitting and crocheting, and even won multiple ribbons with her entries for the Whiteside County Fair. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and playing games with her friends and family.
Survivors include her son, Ritchie Keller of Morrison; daughter-in-law, Sandra Keller of Fulton; four grandchildren, Chad (Jennifer) Keller, Travis Keller, Austin (Payton) Keller, and Dylan (Brooke) Keller; five great-grandchildren.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Victor; sons, Gary Keller, and James Keller in infancy; one granddaughter, Kimberly Keller; sister, Phyllis Dykstra; brothers, Marvin Geerts and Leonard Geerts, Sr.
Her Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Spring Valley Reformed Church in Fulton, IL, co-officiated by Rev. Paul Wissink, Pastor of Spring Valley Reformed Church and Ken Renkes.
A Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL.
A memorial to Spring Valley Reformed Church has been established.
