The Black Box Theatre, located at 1623 5th Avenue, in downtown Moline, IL, 61265, will present the extraordinary story of the Christmas Eve truce in World War I. The setting is the Western front on Christmas 1914. Out of the violence of war comes a silence, then a song. A German soldier steps into “No Man’s Land” between the battle lines singing Stille Nacht. Thus began an extraordinary night of camaraderie, music, and peace.
An a cappella chorale, “All Is Calm” is a remarkable true story in the words and songs of the men who lived it.
“We had so many people say they wanted to see it, that we are bringing
it back, two years after the original production,” said artistic Director Lora Adams.
Performances are December 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, and 21, 2024, at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee on Sunday, December 22, at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are available for $16 at
