Betty J. Hanna, 88, of Tampico, IL, died on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Resthave Care & Rehabilitation in Morrison, IL.
Betty was born August 23, 1936, in Morrison, the daughter of Seth and Florence (Lind) Nelson. She married Clyde Morden, Jr, and they later divorced. Betty then married Howard “Pat” Hanna in Las Vegas, NV.
In her younger years, Betty lived in Sweden with her family and attended school there. She will be remembered by her family as a loving, caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Howard Hanna, of Tampico; son, Adam (Erin) Hanna, of Apollo Beach, FL; daughter, Jenni (John) Durlacher, of Kentland, IN; daughters-in-law, Sheila Morden, of Fall Creek, WI, and Cathy Morden, of Newark, CA; sisters, Signe Gerdes, of Tampico, and Linna Belt, of Morrison; eight grandchildren, Alexis Gullo, Melina Morden, Stephen Morden, Jr., Berkeley Wonder, Jensen Tennant, Carsen Tennant, Georgia Hanna,, and Morgan Hanna; seven great-grandchildren, Hayden Morden, Addyson Morden, Nicholas Kollmer, Curtis Kollmer, Broghen Morden, Jack Morden, and Savanna Morden; numerous nieces and nephews; caretaker, Amy Sue Cook, of Tampico.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; twin brother, Robert Nelson; sons, Kevin Mordan, Stephen Morden, and Patrick Hanna; daughter, Catherine Hanna; special aunt and uncle, Grace (Paul) Elliott.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, October 21, 2024, at McDonald Funeral Home in Milledgeville, IL.
A Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home.
Burial will conclude at South Elkhorn Cemetery in Milledgeville, IL.
