Linda F. Hook, 81, of Morrison, IL, died Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Homestead Assisted Living & Memory Care, in Morrison.
Linda was born May 9, 1943, in Morrison, to Henry E. and Eleanor J. (Medema) Schipper. She was educated in the Morrison grade schools and was a 1961 graduate of Morrison High School. On April 27, 1962, she married David H. Hook in Morrison. Linda was first employed by General Electric Control Department in Morrison, and later worked as a Physical Therapist Aide at Morrison Community Hospital. Linda was a homemaker and also worked alongside her husband, Dave, at Peterson’s Drug Store, assisting him with orders. She was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church, where she was a member of the Choir, a Sunday School Teacher, and a Sunday School Superintendent. She was also active with the youth groups and Vacation Bible School. Linda was a member of the Morrison Chapter of PEO. She enjoyed visiting shut-ins with her friends from church and volunteered at hospice.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter in infancy, Sherri Hook; sister, Jerri Lynn Wilson; brother, Harvey D. Schipper.
Survivors include her husband, Dave; daughter, Pam (Todd) Muur of Morrison; son, Jeffrey (Malinda) Hook of Altoona, IA; five grandchildren, Tyler (Justine) VanZuiden, Mason (Kendra) Muur, Megan Muur; Kindra (Tim) Jacobsen, and Jameson Hook; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Beth (Gary) Milnes of Morrison.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison, IL, officiated by Rev. J. T. Bean.
A Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Friday, October 11, 2024, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
A memorial has been established to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
