De Immigrant volunteer Millers will host a program at the Windmill Cultural Center, Monday, July 22, 2024, at 6:00 p.m.  The building, which is disability accessible, is across the street from the authentic Dutch windmill, at 111 Tenth Avenue, Fulton, IL.  The free program is open to the public.   A light snack will be served following the presentation.

The program will feature Theresa Jackson, Assistant Director of the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center in Sioux City, IA.  She was an English instructor at Western Iowa Technical Community College for nearly 30 years, before retiring and taking her position at the Interpretive Center.  Theresa produces year-round programs and activities and manages community outreach.

Jackson will speak about the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, specifically “Sgt. Charles Floyd:  The Rest of the Story.”  Sgt. Floyd was the only member of the Lewis and Clark Expedition to die, and he is buried in Sioux City.
