May 18 Military Service for Bradley Decker

A Graveside Service with military honors will be held to honor Bradley A. Decker, at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL, on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.

A Celebration of Life will follow at Brick Block Pub, 105 W. Main Street in Morrison, IL. All friends and family are welcome to celebrate Bradley with his family.

Bradley Alan Decker, 61, passed away on October 5, 2023, at the University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago, IL, after a brief illness.

Bradley Decker was born May 21, 1962, to Lyle Alan and Carol (Bogle) Decker in Morrison, IL. He was educated in the Morrison, IL, schools and then joined the United States Navy in 1979, dedicating four years to active duty and an additional two years in the Reserves. He spent a decade residing in Washington State, before eventually returning to the Morrison region. Throughout most of his lifetime Bradley pursued a career as a long-haul truck driver. He was passionate about, and became an ardent reader of, history.

He is survived by his daughters, Carolann Stoner and Kurstin Decker of Canada and Rachel Decker of Clinton, IA; mother, Carol Decker of Summerfield, FL; brother, Kirk (Beth) Decker; sisters, Kristin ( Ray Scudder) Decker of New Port Richey, FL and Jennifer (Pamela Sylves) Decker of Summerfield; aunt, Mary Jane Huber of Moline, IL; uncle, Richard (Dick) Bogle of Fulton, IL; many cousins, nephews, and nieces.

He is preceded in death by his father, Lyle Decker; maternal grandparents, Orville and Bertha Bogle; fraternal grandparents, Bill and Gladys Decker; uncle and aunt, Richard and Lynne Lindstrom; uncle, Ronald Decker.
