Spring has sprung! Amazingly, nearly overnight, our surroundings have magically turned to plush greens and vivid colors of spring blooms. That means it is time to check your landscaping and gardens, for what needs to be upgraded.
The annual Fulton Plant Sale is coming soon. Mark your calendar for Saturday, May 11, 2024. This community event promotes gardening by sharing perennials and horticulture tips. The sale operates solely on donated specimens from area gardens.
Do you have plants you no longer want or which need to be split? Dig them up, and bring them to Cattail Park, Fulton, IL, on Friday, May 10, from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. (Follow 8th Avenue out of town toward the golf course.) Gardeners will meet you there to re-package your donations for sale the following day.
The plant sale on Saturday, May 11, will be from 8:00 a.m. to noon at Cattail Park. There is always a nice selection; come early for top choices. Most plants are priced at $2 and up.
Certified Master Gardeners will be available to answer questions concerning planting tips and recommended plant care.
The Fulton Plant Sale is sponsored by the Friends of the Fulton Windmill–all proceeds to benefit the beautification of the Windmill Area.
