Everyone is invited to our 4th Annual Flock to the Rock on Saturday, February 10, 2024. Head to the Lower Dam, 300 W. First Street, Rock Falls, IL, any time before 10:00 a.m., to view eagles soaring above the Rock River. Bring cell phones, cameras, and/or binoculars!
Then come to the Rock Falls Community Center Building, 601 W. Tenth Street, at 10:00 a.m., to hear two educational speakers.
1. Northern Illinois Raptor Rehab & Education, one-hour talk about live birds of prey; educational displays.
2. Rudy Vallejo from the Kickapoo & Potawatomi Tribe, talk about how the Bald eagle symbolizes Native American culture; Eagle Dance with audience participation.
New this year will be Ice Carver Robert Storm, who will create three ice sculptures, on the lawn of the Rock Falls Community Center.
From 10:00 to approximately 2:00 p.m. there will be educational vendors, including the Illinois Conservation Police Wildlife Trailer.
Bagels by Plate & Toast will have fresh bagels, coffee, and hot chocolate for purchase.
This event is free and welcomes all ages.
