Eric and Linda (Schroth) Anderson celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary, on Thursday, January 18, 2024. The Morrison, IL, couple acknowledged that milestone, during the Saturday, January 20, Cub Scout Pinewood Derby event, at Morrison United Methodist Church. Both have been integral to the Scouting program for decades.
They met during their Confirmation class while in Junior High. Both attended Sauk Valley Community College. Eric earned a two-year degree; Linda was a three-year student and earned two, two-year degrees.
On January 18, 1970, Pastor Robert Stone united them in marriage at Bethesda Lutheran Church. Linda remembers her cousin, Barbara Blodgett, was her Bridesmaid; Eric’s Best Man was his brother, Jim Anderson.
Their sustaining marriage has been blessed by two children and three grandchildren:
daughter Paula (Guy) Nimick: Jasmine McCormick, 24, and Serina Nimick, 15.
son Erik Anderson: Jimmy Anderson, 29.
