State Representative Ryan Spain (R-73rd District) is pleased to announce he will host a local “Medicare 101,” event in partnership with State Representative (R-74th District) Bradley Fritts.
Persons turning 65 this year are entitled to enroll in the Medicare program. The Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP) is a free, Statewide Health Insurance Counseling Service, for Medicare beneficiaries and their caregivers. The Illinois Department on Aging sponsors SHIP.
An upcoming, free, informational seminar will assist Seniors in the community–and those who help care for an eligible loved one–to understand the intricacies of Medicare insurance. “Medicare 101” will be conducted by Kathy Schmidt, on Monday, January 22, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m., at the Rock Falls Chamber of Commerce, 601 W. Tenth Street, Rock Falls, IL.
An experienced SHIP Counselor, Kathy Schmidt of Morrison, IL, offers insight and guidance on the many facets of Medicare. Attendees will have an opportunity to have their questions answered and gain a clearer understanding of the Medicare insurance system. Information will empower prospective Medicare recipients to make informed decisions about their healthcare coverage options.
The event is free and open to anyone who will become eligible (i.e., age 65) during 2024. Gain an understanding of Medicare. Bring your questions, and engage in this informative session.
For questions or more information about SHIP, call Schmidt at 815-564-8772.
