On Wednesday, January 10, 2024, The National Weather Service of the Quad Cities shared the following information with Whiteside County Health Department. It regards the potential for another winter storm this Friday, January 12, into Saturday, January 13.

Another long-duration, strong winter storm will affect the area Thursday, January 11, overnight into Saturday morning, January 13. It will bring accumulating snow and strong winds that will result in blowing and drifting of snow. There are high probabilities that areas will see over six inches of snow again. We still are uncertain of the track, so the heavy snow axis could change.
