At its regular meeting on Monday, November 27, 2023, the City Council approved its annual Property Tax Levy Ordinance for 2024 (Fiscal Year 2025.) Based on the estimated Equalized Assessed Valuation and statutory levy needs of the City of Morrison, the 2024 tax rate was established with a 0.06% decrease, from 1.11956% to 1.11895%.
Mayor Scott Vandermyde stated, “The City of Morrison continues its fiscal responsibility through strong fiscal management and sound public policy. The City certainly relies on its tax revenue to support public services provided to our community, and we are proud that we are able to do so this year, by decreasing our tax rate for next year.”
