Paint Holiday Ornaments December 2

Posted by

On Saturday, December 2, 2023, the public is invited to The Loft of Main, 112 E. Main Street, Morrison, IL, for a “drop-in” ornament painting party, between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.  This creative endeavor was planned for art lovers of all ages.

Hundreds of salt clay Christmas ornaments have been prepared:  snowfigure, bell, star, tree, wreath, gingerbread figure, teddy bear, circle, or heart.  After selecting a couple, remember to write your name on the unpainted backside.  Embellish them with tempera paint donated by CAPA.  Add a hanging string.

There is no charge to make art.  However, Morrison woodworker Everett Pannier created a Donation Box that lives on the counter.

Fill out a Wish List card if you feel “bonded” with a unique piece of creativity.  Be sure to let your special ones know you have chosen something, that will bring you continual pleasure, as a holiday–or special occasion–gift.

Pick up dried clay pieces during the evening Christmas Walk or next week, starting on Thursday, December 7.  Two of the Editor’s 2021 ornaments are visible:  “Frosty” and a silver star.
