David A. Bombliss, age 65, of Rock Falls, IL, formerly of Morrison, IL, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023, at Morrison Community Hospital.
David was born November 25, 1957, in Oak Lawn, IL. He married Connie Heath in 2006 in Sycamore, IL. He was a Master Certified Technician who specialized in many luxury European vehicles. He worked at multiple auto shops in the Quad Cities and Chicago, IL, suburbs, as well as, owning his own repair business. Being naturally mechanically gifted, Dave could visualize and build anything with his hands. He was famous for on-taking many large projects at one time. He was very passionate about his work and the love for his animals. David was a hobby farmer and was also musically gifted. He could play by ear on multiple instruments without being able to read music.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Bombliss of Rock Falls; mother; children, Christina (Rodger) Brown, Carrie Bombliss, and Daniel (Diana) Bombliss; sister, Karen (Andy) Fuzak; brother, Ron Bombliss; six grandchildren, Bradyn, Brycen, Kolten, Acacia, William, and Baby Boy Bombliss; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Bombliss.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m., at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, IL.
The Funeral will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rosario Lombardo officiating.
A memorial has been established.
