Denise L. Unger, 65, of Rock Falls, IL, died on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at her home in Rock Falls.
She was born on June 18, 1958, in Sterling, IL, the daughter of Laverne and Margaret (Remmington) Reul. Denise was a Cook for Sterling High School for many years. She had a love for cooking homemade meals for others to enjoy. She had a homemade BBQ sauce recipe and plain iced tea that just could not be beaten. She was an avid Motown and Packers fan. She also enjoyed playing her computer games. Denise will be remembered for her warm meals, love, and generous heart.
She is survived by her fiancé, Chuck Vaughn of Rock Falls; daughters, Nikki (Phil) Smith of Rock Falls and Kaci (Mike) Johannsen of Eastaboga, AL; son, Mike (Miranda) Unger of Morrison, IL; sisters, Ardy Reul of IA and Gloria Reul of Rockford, IL; brothers, Paul Reul of MN, Doc (Mary) Reul of Sterling, and David (Cage) Reul of Hooppole; six grandchildren, Caleb Unger, Cadie Unger, Rylen Unger, Ivy Unger, Harley Frieberg, and Connie Frieberg.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister; five brothers.
There will be no services at this time.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
