Corrine E. Ohlwine, 90, of Milledgeville, IL, died on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at KSB Hospital of Dixon, IL.
She was born on October 14, 1932, in Morrison, IL, the daughter of Mathew P. and Sylvia V. (Dyson) Swanson. She married Orville D. Ohlwine on October 27, 1957, in Sterling, IL. They farmed together for many years. He preceded her in death on September 20, 2013. Corrine was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Milledgeville. She enjoyed volunteering for the Carroll County Help Center, Milledgeville Woman’s Club, and local food pantry, and participating in the Ladies Aid. She loved Jesus and welcomed anyone she came across with love.
She is survived by her daughters, Florence (Brian) Miller of Leland, IL, and Violet Ohlwine of Milledgeville; son, Arthur Ohlwine of Decatur, IL; sister, Hazel (Ted) Buikema of Morrison; brothers, Bruce (Brenda) Swanson of Gold Hill, NC, and Richard Swanson of Morrison; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Leota Christensen, Marjorie Swanson, Mary Alich, and Velma Benesh; brothers, Bob and Raymond Swanson.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Milledgevill, IL.
Funeral Services will follow the visitation at the church and take place at 11:00 a.m.
Private Burial will take place at a later date.
