Chamber of Commerce Administrator Corinne Bender compiled the following Morrison, IL, events.

Sign up now for Fall Classes of “Yoga with Martina.”  Held at the Farm Bureau Building, 100 E. Knox Street, classes run from Tuesday, September 9, through Thursday, December 18, and consist of seven-week and 14-week sessions and a ten-class pass.  Treat yourself to a time of movement and rejuvenation!  You can find the full schedule on the “Yoga with Martina” website www.morrisonyoga.com.  Call 815-772-4473 and sign up today.

Can you say Apple Pie Blizzard?  Whoa!  It is now available, along with Pumpkin Pie Blizzards, during the month of September at DQ Grill & Chill, 200 N. Sawyer Road.

First Presbyterian Church, 100 E. Lincolnway, invites you to a FREE Community Meal of delicious food and fellowship on Thursdays, September 11 and 25, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.  The meal site is handicapped accessible.

Morrison United Methodist Church will hold a two-day Rummage and Bake Sale at  200 W. Lincolnway, on Friday, September 12, and Saturday, September 13.  The times and costs are Friday from noon to 5:00 p.m.–$2 per bag and 50¢ per item; Saturday from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m.–$1 per bag and 25¢ per item.  Some items are priced separately.  Bake sale items are priced as marked.

Join the Morrison Cash Mob!  On Saturday, September 13, the Cash Mob will meet at 11:00 a.m. at the Morrison Chamber of Commerce, 221 W. Main Street, where the Mob will find out the business that will be Mobbed.  Cash Mob members will vow to mob this pre-determined local business and spend $10 or more.  This is a great way to shop local, have fun, and send a message loudly and clearly that we need to keep our G’s in town!   For more information, call the Morrison Chamber of Commerce at 815-772-3757.

Register for the Harvest Hammer and the Color Run or visit www.harvesthammer.org.  The 27th annual race event is Saturday, September 20, beginning with kids’ races at 8:15 a.m.

Morrison Community Day Care Center has openings for your child.  We serve children from six weeks to five years old, with 3-day and 5-day rates.  Our Day Care provides formula, baby cereal, baby food, and whole milk for infants and breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack served daily.  We are licensed by DCFS and provide school curriculum, music, art, and outside play.  Call 815-772-3707 for more information.  Morrison Day Care is a United Way Agency.
