8/28/14 at 11:46 a.m. Kaleb M. Gibbons, 18, of Sterling, IL, was arrested in the 900 block of West Avenue for resisting/obstructing a police officer. He was taken to the Whiteside County Jail.
9/2/14 at 1:57 p.m. A traffic stop at Luther and Prophet Roads resulted in the arrest of Augest A. Zigler, 18, of Rock Falls, IL. She was charged with operating a motor vehicle when registration plate is suspended for no insurance. She was released with a Notice toAppear in
court.
9/6/14 1at 1:53 a.m. A traffic stop in the 900 block of 1st Avenue, Rock Falls, IL, resulted in the arrest of Shelley A. Benti, 44, of Florida. She was charged with Driving While License Suspended and Unlawful Use of Cell Phone. Benti was released with a Notice to Appear in court.
9/6/14 at about 12:44 p.m. Deputies responded to the area of Spring Valley and Lyndon Roads for a motorcycle crash. Investigation revealed Elliot D. Rogers, 45, of Chicago, IL, was driving a 2012 Honda westbound on Spring Valley Road approximately 3/10th of a mile west of Lyndon Road, when he lost control and left the roadway. He entered the south ditch, sideswiped a tree prior to becoming airborne, and rested in a yard. Rogers was airlifted from the scene to St. Anthony’s Hospital in Rockford, IL, for his injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
