Larry D. Karash, 72, of Morrison, IL, died on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at his home, surrounded by loved ones.
Larry was born on May 24, 1950, in Cambridge, NE, the son of Anthony Karash and Elsie Kinder. He married Peggy Pyse on September 28, 198,7 in Rock Island, IL. She preceded him in death on October 15, 2015. Larry was employed at Sears Manufacturing in Davenport, IA, for many years as a Welder. He will be remembered as a hard worker, who loved building anything at all. Larry enjoyed working outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his daughter, Lori Carbaugh, of Morrison; sons, Mark Ellis, Jr., of Sterling, IL, Jeff (Sherri Bellini) Ellis, of Rock Falls, IL, and Joseph (Lynn) Boyd, of Ocala, FL; brothers, Paul and James Karash, both of NE; eight grandchildren, Melissa (Jake Fullmer) Carbaugh, Elizabeth (Gunner Decker) Carbaugh, all of Fulton, IL, Nicole (Chad Andrew) Ellis, of Rock Falls, IL, Matthew Carbaugh, of Fulton, Nathan Ellis, of Rock Falls, Samantha (Dakota) Spivey, of Ocala, Amanda Ellis, of Sterling, and Alexandria Boyd, of Ocala; seven great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Grayson, Delaney, Alexander, Mason, Gracie, and Hayden.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; wife; several siblings.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Private family services will be held, with Interment at Spring Valley Cemetery in Morrison, IL.
