Mustang Opener Rescheduled

The opening football game between Morrison High School and Princeton High School will be rescheduled, to be played at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2014, at Princeton, IL.  Following the halftime of the fresh-soph game, a heavy downpour and extensive lightning strikes occured.  Illinois High School Association (IHSA) requires a 30-minute delay and the clearing of the outdoor facility following every noted lightning strike.  The consistent lightning showed no signs of diminishing, so officials made the reschedule call.  The fresh-soph team, trailing 6-0, will not reschedule the second half.  Only the varsity teams will compete on Saturday.
