Members of the Morrison Lions Club and guests enjoyed dinner at the Forest Inn on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, prior to installation of officers for 2014-2015. Past District Governor Ruth Lyle, Erie, IL, was the installing officer. The new officers are Keith Hamstra, President; Tracy Muur, Vice President; Bob Countryman, Secretary; Jim Blakemore, Treasurer; Clarence Harridge, Lion Tamer. Board Members are Steve Wroble and Bart Smith. Tail Twister is Ken Jansma, who was unable to attend the installation.

PDG Lyle also presented Melvin Jones Awards to two members of the club: Tracy Muur and Bob Smith. The award recognizes outstanding individuals and is named for the founder of Lions International.
Our meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month, July and August. The Morrison Lions Club will resume meetings on Tuesday, September 2, at noon at Happy Joe’s, 109 W. Main Street, Morrison, IL.
