July 7 Sheriff’s Office Report

06-25-14 at 9:08 a.m.  Alex D. Menchaca, age 29 of Clinton, IA, was stopped for speeding near Morrison, IL.  Upon further investigation Menchaca was cited for speeding; arrested for DUI, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and an outstanding Whiteside County Warrant.  Menchaca was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, where he was released on bond and a Notice to Appear.  Rick’s towing assisted on scene.
 
07-01-14 at 6:00 p.m.  William J. Chattic, age 31 of Sterling, IL, was arrested on a Lee County warrant for Failure to Appear on Contempt of Court.  He was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
 
07-01-14 at 8:06 p.m.  Jacob R. Smith, age 23 of Rock Falls, IL, was stopped near Morrison, IL, for speeding.  Upon further investigation Smith was arrested on an outstanding Whiteside County Warrant.  Smith was transported to the Whiteside County Jail where he posted bond.
 
07-04-14 at 10:23 p.m.  Spencer J. Wike, age 27 of Sterling, IL, was arrested for Aggravated Domestic Battery, Resisting a Peace Officer, and Criminal Damage to Property in Sterling.  Wike was processed at the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office and held in lieu of bond.  Sterling Police assisted on scene.
 
07-05-14 at 10:40 p.m.  Arrested for Consumption of Alcohol as a Minor, during a traffic stop on IL Route 78 just south of Lyndon, IL,  were Mitchell Keppy, age 20 of Port Byron, IL; Wesley Declercq, age 20 of Port Byron; Samantha Luedtke, age 19 of Rock Island, IL; Taylor Benters, age 19 of Morrison, IL.  All were released on Notice to Appear.
 
07-05-14 at 10:43 p.m.  Julian I. Martin, age 19 of Erie, IL, was stopped for inoperable registration lights on his vehicle on U. S. Route 30. Upon further investigation Martin was arrested for Driving While License Suspended. Martin was released on scene with a Notice to Appear in court at a later date.
 
07-06-14 at 1:08 a.m.  Whiteside County Deputies investigated a vehicle pulled to the side of the road near Tampico, IL, and improper lane usage.  Upon further investigation, Amy K. Meier, age 32 of Rock Falls, IL, was cited for Improper Lane Usage and arrested for two counts of DUI.  Amy was transported to the Rock Falls Police Department and released with a Notice to Appear.  R and K towing assisted on scene.
 
07-06-15 at 1:41 a.m.  Deputies conducted a traffic Stop at Lyndon Conoco where a private citizen reported a reckless driver.  Anthony Meiers, age 34 of Morrison, IL, was arrested for two counts of DUI.  He was processed and released on Notice to Appear.  Also, passenger Jay Nelson, age 32 of Morrison, IL, was arrested on an active Whiteside County Warrant for Contempt of Court. He was held at the Whiteside County Jail.
 
07-06-14 at 2:47 a.m.  Nicholas B. Baker, age 18 of Rock Falls, IL, was arrested by Deputies for DUI, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Cannabis less than 2.5 grams, and Possession of Alcohol as a Minor, following a traffic stop for speeding in rural Tampico, IL.  He was processed at the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office and released on bond. R & K Towing assisted on scene.
