The Monday, November 28, 2022, session of the Morrison, IL, City Council convened without the attendance of Councilmen Josh West and Sidonna Mahaffey.

Prior to addressing the agenda, Mayor Scott Vandermyde invited Eric Phend, President of the Deerview Condominium Association, to address the Council. Phend updated the members on a recent issue involving the connections of City water to current multi-unit housing in the Deerview Addition. A recent water leak in one of the units required shutting off the entire unit, to allow repair, due to a lack of individual unit shut-off values. The presentation was only questioning this type of hookup and noted that the construction had to have received Code of approval from the City before completion was allowed. Following questions, the Council advised Phend that the issue would be taken under advisement for future action, if deemed necessary.

Unanimous approval of the 2023 Meeting and Holiday Schedules were approved. Included are 13 Holidays and 11 Council meeting dates.

Action to approve the intergovernmental agreement, between Morrison Community Unit District #6 and the City of Morrison, for the use of the Morrison Sports Complex was met with a unanimous vote of approval.

The meeting closed following a discussion, headed by City Administrator Brian Melton, related to proposed projects that are part of the 2023 budgetary plans.
